Caney Lake, located on Louisiana Highway 34 about 45 minutes from the store, while Lake D’Arbonne is about 45 minutes away on Louisiana Highway 2. D’Arbonne is also a popular tournament spot. There’s also Poverty Point Reservoir about 90 minutes east on Interstate 20—it’s popular for fishing, cruising and watersports.

Besides largemouth bass and crappie, our area lakes offer great fishing for bluegill, rock bass, catfish, carp and gar. Trotlines and the yo-yo method are popular techniques for catching our plentiful trophy catfish. Wakeboarding, kneeboarding and tubing are popular watersports in our area. Or, you can spend days just cruising and wildlife viewing on our scenic bayou lakes and picturesque winding rivers.
